Editora musical de Remezcla, la influyente publicación latina conocida por estar al tanto de la cultura. Como periodista mexicana, su amplio conocimiento musical le ha permitido descubrir a estrellas del emergente movimiento reguetón mexicano, como El Malilla y Yeri Mua, antes de que alcanzaran el éxito en Estados Unidos. A principios de la década de 2010, Alexis fue pionera en la cobertura inicial del K-pop en EE. UU.

Hoy en día, es la principal reportera que cubre la intersección entre la música y la cultura latina y el K-pop, y copresenta el podcast “It’s a K-Pop Thing”, donde contextualiza todo, desde la música hasta sus fans y su historia. Su experiencia en música latina, K-pop y pop mundial la ha llevado a cubrir conciertos, artistas y festivales en EE. UU., Asia y Latinoamérica.

Su trabajo se puede encontrar en publicaciones como Rolling Stone, Billboard, Teen Vogue y la Academia de la Grabación. Su lista de entrevistas hasta la fecha incluye estrellas mundiales como Bad Bunny, BTS, Rauw Alejandro y Stray Kids, así como una destacada charla individual con la vicepresidenta Kamala Harris.

She is the music editor at Remezcla, the influential Latine publication known for having its pulse on the culture. As a Mexican journalist, her extensive music knowledge has helped her identify stars in the up-and-coming reggeaton mexa movement like El Malilla and Yeri Mua before their breakthroughs stateside.
